3d map of all the panoramas I’ve shot in Skidmore’s northwoods so far. Started with a 3d terrain map using elevation data and aerial photography from the USGS. Then placed spherical versions of each panorama where they were shot. 29 in all.

with one €9 ticket, one can visit both Segesta and Selinunte, ancient arch-enemies whose rivalry was partly responsible for bringing down the Athenians. we visited them one day apart, and frugally re-used our tickets.
saw a photograph at the lacma today that i’d never seen before, and can’t seem to find it online, but it has infected me. josef sudek’s “night scene – house” was difficult to perceptually resolve as a “photograph,” but neither did it create the illusion of another medium. very dark overall, night, a whitish house [...]
