another 3D scan, straight-on

we tried a few different views. making these images with this alien computer-vision, i imagine it’s similar to the very first photographic processes – this sense of excitement at ‘capturing’ something this way, and yet there’s this very clinical, distant machine sensibility to it as well.

scanned one side of a small rock using a cheap laser level and some free software. pretty cool, but i need a better laser.
